Prostate cancer issue

Prostate cancer issue?
My grandpa has prostate cancer. And he's currently in the hospital getting treated. And I was wondering if there are basically anything we could do to get rid of the pain naturally without morphine or any other pain killer. Thanks in advance :)

the safest pain killer in tissue remedies- drug of choice - is Mag Phos-3x -- 2 grains with 3 tsp of hot water. or Mag Phos-200 -- 4 globules with 1 cup of hot water. no side effects. no addiction even for long term usage.

Tooly - I do not know if your grandpa has localized or widespread, advanced cancer. Not all men with advanced prostate cancer have pain. Some men will have no pain at all and others will have varying amounts. With the right treatment, pain can be relieved most of the time. He should not have to accept pain as a normal part of having cancer. The treating physician needs to know about any pain he has as soon as possible. The earlier he asks for help, the easier it will be to get his pain under control. There may be more than one cause of pain in men with advanced prostate cancer. Possible causes include: The cancer may have spread to the bones or more rarely to the spine. The cancer can sometimes spread to the lymph nodes, making them swollen and uncomfortable. Problems related to the cancer, such as constipation or muscle tension. Side effects from treatments – for example, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. It is also worth considering that the cancer might not be causing the pain. His specialist team should investigate the cause of the pain and then offer the most appropriate treatments. Besides the stronger prescription drugs, there are mild pain-relieving drugs, such as paracetamol. He can use them together with stronger pain-relieving drugs. All medicines can cause side effects. He may not get any or all of these. Different types of non-opioid drugs have different side effects, usually rare. Complementary therapies such as acupuncture, aromatherapy, massage, reflexology and hypnotherapy may help cope with cancer pain. We need more research to prove that these therapies help relieve pain, but some people have found them helpful. Please speak to your specialist team before trying any complementary therapies. You may find it helps to try some of the following ideas: Use music, reading or television to try and take his mind off his pain. Have a chat with him to you to take his mind of things for a while. Change his position frequently to prevent stiffness. Help him practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing. Hot or cold packs may help to relieve some types of pain (be sure to wrap them in a towel to stop them damaging his skin). Help him with a relaxing bath. These suggestions are not magic cures but they may help some men feel more in control of their pain. You're a good man to want to want to help your grandpa so.

Prostate cancer men what

prostate cancer men what?
im wondering. im not a male so i dont understand. if a male has prostate cancer can they still have sex? do they remove the penis? meaning the person cant have sex after treatment? how do they go to the bathroom after? the same way a trasngender man who gets a vagina built does?

The prostate is up the backside, not up the penis. So no removal of penis, no removal of testicles, just the prostate.
2 :
The prostate is internal, it does not have to affect your sex life or urination if it is removed. All cancer treatment does not mean removal of the prostate. Most men can still have sex even if the prostate is removed. An enlarged prostate will cause frequent urination, but going is the same as before. Prostate problems has nothing to do with being transgendered and it certainly does not give the man a vagina.
3 :
I have had prostate cancer. I was treated with radio active seed implants. It is called brachy therapy. Yes I still can have sex and everything is normal. More and more men are opting for not using surgery when they get prostate cancer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostate_cancer
4 :
The prostate is an internal gland, not located in the penis. And men usually are able to have sex with removal of the prostate, but sometimes they are unable to achieve erection. You should google prostate, and become more familiar with male anatomy. And more men should familiarize themselves with female anatomy--many males have no concept of where the clitoris is, and how to stimulate it properly.

Prostate cancer is so rare in young men that there are no statistics available for the disease incidence in men under 35. It's extremely rare in men under 50; over 80% of men diagnosed with it are over 65 and half of all cases occur in men over 75. I think the answer to your question must be no.
2 :
It's very rare, but the types of prostate or testicular cancer in the pediatric population is a sarcoma . . in the case of prostate it is usually a type of cancer called embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma although desmoplastic small round cell tumor can also occur in this age group. These are life threatening cancers so if you have any doubts than you should be seeing a doctor as soon as possible. http://www.springerlink.com/content/w3w6l6w270203073/ http://brighamrad.harvard.edu/Cases/bwh/hcache/165/full.html http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/120138468/abstract?CRETRY=1&SRETRY=0 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1943114

Prostate cancer symptoms

prostate cancer symptoms?
Is bleeding out of the anas (very little) a sign of prostate cancer?

Yes it is. But then again it is also the symptomology of an anal fissure and or hemmorhoids. With the fissure and roids being more common than the PC. See your doctor to confirm. Good luck!

Cancer of any kind is very dangerous to the human body. For that matter, its very mention brings down shivers in a person's body, and people start to feel worried and tensed. There are some kinds of cancers that are general, such as lung cancer, liver cancer etc. However, there are certain gender specific types of cancers too such as the Breast Cancer which is common in women. In men, one of the most common kinds of cancer is the Prostrate Cancer. Prostrate is actually a male gland which is situated right under the bladder. According to statistics, 1 out of every 6 men in the United States suffers from this kind of cancer. Like all diseases and illnesses, early detection in Prostate Cancer also helps to prevent the situation from worsening. Most of the times, people do not have full knowledge about the symptoms of the cancer, and thus, they are not even aware of the fact that they are suffering from a particular kind of cancer, and for that matter, any kind of disease. Some of the most common symptoms of prostrate cancer include problem in urination, which includes trouble in its passing or experiencing any kind of pain; blood in the urine or a very weak flow of the urine; pain in lower back, hips, thighs, abdominal area or near the penis. Sometimes, even some kind of unexpected sudden weight loss is also considered to be one of the symptoms of prostrate cancer. Many prostate cancer patients have also said that they experience more urination during night time as compared to the rest of the day. The sexual performance also gets affected, and men also suffer from problems in ejaculation. Routine checkups under all these circumstances are very important. While prostate cancer is at its initial stages, doctors may not be able to diagnose it, because the symptoms are such that they really don't indicate towards one particular disease. This is why early detection via regular checkups becomes important so that the doctor can effectively judge the progressing state of the cancer. Also, prostate cancer when worsens tends to spread to other parts of the body, and at times to the whole lymphatic system. Obviously, the spread of this kind of a tumor brings with it added problems and symptoms which again need a lot of care and attention. One of the most common problems that occur in such situations is that of bone pain. The entire spine and pelvic bone experience problems which become worse with time. As soon as you experience any such symptoms, you should neglect or ignore them and should get a check up done immediately. Doctors will then be able to judge the severity of the situation in a proper manner to see what kind of treatment suits best. It is best to avoid the situation from worsening as the effectiveness of treatments fails to work when the situation has become very worse. Early stages can still be worked upon.

UK Prostate Cancer Survival rate around 60% VS. USA 95% even with our poor rating By the WHO

UK Prostate Cancer Survival rate around 60% VS. USA 95% even with our poor rating By the WHO?
According to the U.K.’s Office of National Statistics, the five-year relative survival rate for patients diagnosed with prostate cancer between 1993 and 1995 (and thus followed up to 1998 or 2000) was 59.8 percent, The National Cancer Institute’s Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results database puts concurrent U.S. rates at 95.4 percent. As with the more recent figures, there is indeed a significant difference,

1993 - 1995 were terrible years for the nhs...the conservatives were in charge. They basically wanted to run it down and privatise it..like they did with everything else. You can't trust them with healthcare.
2 :
Once again an argument against socialized medicine. Then again maybe the socialist agenda is to "look" good but they really want population control by having a higher mortality rate? What's wrong with simply increasing the economic growth of the U.S. so people can afford health insurance? Nothing, but the socialist fight it tooth and nail sigh...
3 :
Yes because aside from the liberal-socialist agenda squawking, we have the best health care in the world.

Does red rasberries help reduce prostate cancer

Does red rasberries help reduce prostate cancer?

It couldn't hurt, but it will take more than just that. You should eat 4 to 5 different fruits every day.
2 :
I don't know about raspberries, but you can try tomatoes. In Italy, men eat 8-10 tomatoes a day, which have very high lipocene (one of those anti-oxidants!) levels, which is associated with helping to prevent prostrate cancer, and the Italians have the lowest rates of prostrate cancer in the world!
