Any cancer or history of it is disqualifying for the military. If he does get in by not disclosing they can charge him with fraudulent enlistment when they find out. Best not to go that route.

You can write to the President of the United States. Fist he needs to go to his local Congressman (Representative, then it will most likely be sent to his Senator and the President) The President can allow him to join and Waive it, President Bush did it for I believe it was a Heart Surgeon whose son died in Iraq. He needs to contact his Representative and get help. Plus if the President grants him to get in then most likely Tricare will cover the Prostate Cancer, future. I know it sounds like quite a hassle to go through all this but it is worth a try. I wrote a letter my local Congressman years ago got a reply by phone within days. Totally different topic but many people don't even try and just take no for an answer when they still have a chance, If he don't try then he will be one more person who just sits back and gets told no, and will never know if there is no chance at all.
