Can cheese cause prostate cancer?
I know that Milk can cause prostate cancer and that it is a huge factor, I was wondering if cheese which is made of lactose can be considered as harmful as milk in the long run.

High calcium intake linked to prostate cancer Several studies have found a link between a high consumption of milk and cheese and the risk of prostate cancer. Now researchers at the Harvard Medical School report that men with a high calcium intake have a higher risk of developing prostate cancer. Their study began in 1986 and included over 47,000 male health practitioners. The participants completed food frequency questionnaires in 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, and 1994. Between 1986 and 1994 a total of 1792 cases of prostate cancer were diagnosed among the men with 423 of the cases being of an advanced nature. After adjusting for other factors affecting prostate cancer risk the researchers concluded that men with a calcium intake of 2000 mg/day or more have a 2.97 times higher risk of developing advanced prostate cancer and a 4.57 times higher risk of developing metastatic prostate cancer than do men with an intake of 500 mg/day or less. Both calcium from food and calcium from supplements increased the risk. Milk consumption increased the risk of prostate cancer significantly with men drinking more than two glasses per day having a 60 per cent higher risk of advanced prostate cancer and an 80 per cent higher risk of metastatic prostate cancer than did men who did not consume milk.

Can you give me a prognosis for a man with stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to the bone

I had friend that had prostate cancer, once his cancer spread to his brain it was pretty much over. he lasted a few couple of weeks.

This is not a good place to ask this question because there is a new medicine that comes out every day. This is a well studied cancer and can be treated possibly with good results. It all depends on his health, age and what kind of shape he is in to tolerate the drugs.
3 :
you know, sometimes people with the worst prognosis end up getting better, even though the medical profession has said they are hopeless. i believe that in the end, it is God's choice, so gather everybody together, and start praying. prayer has worked miracles in many cases, i hope all goes well for your friend. good luck.

This is a very serious situation, but you probably already know that. Some people end up living far longer than they are diagnosed - has a lot to do with how determined they are to live, and sometimes what lifestyle changes they can make such as eating a seriously restricted diet, taking supplements, exercising seriously, praying medicating - these are all the things people I know did who basically beat unbeatable cancer.

Any type of cancer requires a herbal parasite detox and the use of herbal products instead of ANY chemical product. You can get a herbal prostrate formula from the Herbalist or Health Food store. Eat a bowl of coconut daily also, there are lots of natural cure sites on the net. Avoid any animal as they have too many parasites that can invade the human body Dont worry, you'll be all right.
2 :
ENTER WEB SEARCH HORMONE TREATMENT/PROSTATE CANCER TELLS ALL ABOUT IT.

Although the prostate was first described by Venetian anatomist Niccolò Massa in 1536, and illustrated by Flemish anatomist Andreas Vesalius in 1538, prostate cancer was not identified until 1853.[136] Prostate cancer was initially considered a rare disease, probably because of shorter life expectancies and poorer detection methods in the 19th century. The first treatments of prostate cancer were surgeries to relieve urinary obstruction.[137] Removal of the entire gland (radical perineal prostatectomy) was first performed in 1904 by Hugh H. Young at Johns Hopkins Hospital.[138] Surgical removal of the testes (orchiectomy) to treat prostate cancer was first performed in the 1890s, but with limited success. Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) replaced radical prostatectomy for symptomatic relief of obstruction in the middle of the 20th century because it could better preserve penile erectile function. Radical retropubic prostatectomy was developed in 1983 by Patrick Walsh.[139] This surgical approach allowed for removal of the prostate and lymph nodes with maintenance of penile function.

Why is there so much research and money being pumped into breast cancer yet almost none for prostate cancer

why is there so much research and money being pumped into breast cancer yet almost none for prostate cancer?
prostate cancer is more common... 203,415 men developed prostate cancer 191,410 women were diagnosed with breast cancer yet over twice the amount of government funding is pushed into breast cancer...

There are groups that promote and raise money for prostate cancer awareness. Several professional baseball teams do fund raising. prostatecancerclimb.org prostatecancer.org cancer.org (The American Cancer Society) Just google prostate cancer fund raising and you will find tons.
2 :
about 192, 280 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed 27,360 men will die of prostate cancer About 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. More than 2 million men in the United States who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point are still alive today.

I wouldn’t call $341,000,000 almost none, but it is half that of breast cancer. I’m not sure of the reason, but if I had to guess I’d say it is because the risk of prostate cancer is 1 in 6 and risk of breast cancer is 1 in 8, but the risk of death from prostate cancer is 1 in 34 and the risk of death from breast cancer is 1 in 28. The younger you are the worse the prognosis for both diseases, but it is unheard of for a man in his 30s to get prostate cancer and this is not the case with breast cancer. Many men with prostate cancer choose watchful waiting for their disease and there is no such thing with breast cancer that would mean death. What we have learned from breast cancer research has helped us with other cancers.
