Yes, the NHS is sneaking adverts into everything popular with men. Too many men die for not seeking medical advice. Edit - the penny drops. :-S

Yes. A lot of attention is given to breast cancer, but the cure rate for prostate cancer is much lower. I understand about 70% of breast cancer sufferers are cured nowadays, whereas only 44% of prostate cancer sufferers are cured.

Yes, it is cancer after all.

Prostate cancer awareness is an important women's rights issue, to be sure. Only 10% to 20% of penis is actually of usable quality for women, before even accounting for the effects of prostate cancer. Prevalence of this cancer diminishes the supply of quality penis even further, and obviously women are the most affected by this. Everyone should make it a priority to combat this condition, so that no woman is forced to compromise on the quality of her mate.

Yes it is. I do not begrudge the success that the breast cancer volunteers have had. The research into breast cancer does help all cancers. I was on seven different chemos at one time. Only one was approved for melanoma, the other six were approved breast cancer. It worked for 18 months, but alas my body couldn't handle the treatment. The mets all came back. There has not been a drug approved for melanoma in 20 years and those that are approved a total of 2, only work about 18% of the time.

Yes, on both counts: 1) Impotence is one possible side-effect of some treatments for prostate cancer, apparently; 2) If you value life, then it is important to promote research into men's diseases. Not as much research is done into men's diseases as into women's diseases, so the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer are not such as to encourage all men to get themselves checked (and treated, when found to have prostate cancer). We need more accurate diagnosis than the PSA test and Digital Rectal Examination, and we need more effective treatments that avoid side-effects such as impotence and incontinence.

What's prostate cancer?

Yes. And I know that you are going to complaina bout how Prostate Cancer reearch doesn't get as many funds. The reason why this is is because often times these Companies are non-profit. They take donations, and volunteers run the fundraising, bussiness, and everything else. Studies show that women are more likely to work for non-profit charities, wheras men are more likely to work at for-profit charities. Since more women volunteer and work at non-profit charities, more female charities get more funding. There is more women working at the Breast Cancer Funds than men. You can't go around complaining that male cancer research doesn't get enough awareness or funds if men are doing less to support it. Breast Cancer is only so big because the majority of the doners and vounteers are women. And most women donate to breast cancer research multple times in their life. Don't complain if you are not willing to take action. Your blaming women for something that is only happening because of men. Prostate cancer is getting less funds NOT because of women, but because men are not volunteering or donating as much. If men volunteered and donated as much as women, both charities would recieve equal funds.
