Most cancers are staged 0-4, with sub stages after each main staging number. There is not a stage 6.

Do you mean the Gleason score? This determines grade and there is no way to know how advanced it is by that. The stage explains how advanced it is.

Hi stage 6 he is already in the urn way past stage 4 and stage 5 is death and stage 6 your already in the jar. sorry this was not tactful but there is no stage 5 or 6 ok. So if some one tells you they are stage 5 or 6 you know they are not telling the Truth.

My PSA was 6.3 with a gleason score of 3+4=7. My cancer had spread beyond the glands. The numbers help but does not tell the whole story. After the surgery I now have metastatic prostate cancer which hormones are keeping under control.

Since there is no stage 6, I assume you're talking about a Gleason score of 6, which is very common and is considered to be moderately aggressive. It's really at the low end of the scale, because a lot of docs wouldn't consider Gleason 5 to be cancer. Gleason score does not indicate how advanced it is. To get an idea of the odds of that you will need more data like PSA and stage.
