Nah. Would murder still be a sin if it was in self defense? Would taking certain prescription pills every day be a sin if it were for treating and/or preventing a disease or other health problem? If you're really wanting to do it to prevent prostate cancer go for it, but don't let it be for another reason and just tell yourself that to make yourself feel better.

Masturbation is not a sin, it's not perversion, it doesn't cause blindness, and it won't kill puppies or bunnies. But don't masturbate prone (face down - like humping the bed) if you're male. It can cause problems with intercourse and even be physically harmful.

What is God's will. Think what does God want, not what's the internet's opinions. Does God want you to die? Masturbation is wrong yes, but it would be more wrong to let yourself die, to give up because, of a minor sin that will be forgiven. God knows your intent and I'm sure He has noticed your hesitation. It is good. Go save your life, I didn't even know that prevented cancer.

Never on a sunday and you'll be fine. You can only go blind if you squirt into your/her eyeball. Keep in mind that you may walk with a limp afterward.
