Prostate cancer = no masturbation

prostate cancer = no masturbation?
One of the answers said frequent masturbation will reduce chance of getting prostate cancer. if it's true, how many times should I masturbate to not have prostate cancer later in life? once a day? twice a day? twice a week? 10 times a day? currently i masturbate about twice a day.

probably once a day would be good.

Yes, masturbating regularly will reduce the chances of prostate cancer. There isn't a set amount of times you do it to prevent it, though. I'd recommend starting off once or twice a day (like you're doing) and just keep doing going—make sure you're comfortable doing it and enjoy the feelings you are having; remember, people don't just masturbate to prevent prostate cancer, they do it to pleasure themselves. Do what feels good to you. ~Avriel

I'm not certain that there is any truth in the concept that masturbation prevents prostate cancer. I think more likely that the premise is false. This by reason that you would have to assume that guys who have prostate cancer were also masturbaters. But masturbation wont kill you either. Just don't do it because you think you have to. EDIT: Leitzmann remains cautious. "I don't believe at this point our research would warrant suggesting men should alter their sexual behaviour in order to modify their risk."

"...in a US study, the group with the highest lifetime average of ejaculation - 21 times per month - were a third less likely to develop the cancer than the reference group, who ejaculated four to seven times a month. "...More than 12 ejaculations per month would start conferring the benefit - on average every second day or so," [Michael Leitzmann, at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland] says." SO , I guess have at it. 21 times a month would be once every day and a half....

Dr. Graham Giles of Australia recommends that younger males masturbate at least six times a week to reduce the likelihood of prostate cancer. He led a team of doctors who found that males who ejaculated most often when they were young had the least incidence of prostate cancer later.
