My friend is diagnosed with prostate cancer. I kinda realized how serious this disorder is...and how common now days it is. So, anyone has any good source on this?

Well, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men over 50. Since Chemotherapy doesn't affect prostate malignancies, Radiotherapy and Estrogen are used in conjunction with each other. The Estrogen is used to cut off the testosterone supply so that the tumor cannot thrive on it.

Your friend should get a second opinion if he is relying on the PSA test for a diagnosis. It is suspect.
